Case Series: Considerations in the treatment of vestibular schwannomas.

A female patient presented with symptoms of left facial dysfunction and mild hearing loss. Serial images showed progressive growth of the left cerebellopontine angle and petrous bone tumor. Images were consistent with a facial schwannoma with preservation of hearing. Gamma Knife radiosurgery was recommended to target the tumor selectively and restrict the cochlear dose.
